Kannah Creek Brewing Company Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

I'll be upfront about this; I'm a long time customer and a former regular. I say "former" because I was recently relocated to Denver. For the last 4 month I've been searching (almost nightly) for a replacement to no avail. I can say with absolute certainty that this place is my benchmark for service, hand crafted beers, and great food. Allow me to explain: Service - Some might say that regulars get the best service, and as a regular, I'd say that the non-regular customers get the same or better service. The wait staff at Kannah is hands down the best at what they do. If you're dissatisfied, they'll make it right without question. Trying to find a better team of servers would be a waste of your time. Beer - Fresh, tasty, and no two-beer headache; that's more than I can say about other local breweries. Kannah also holds two World Beer Cup awards. For those that aren't aware, that's "the most prestigious beer competition in the world" (look it up). Worlds best beer; enough said. Food - The first thing you'll notice about their kitchen is that you're able to. This small open kitchen is where their magic happens and they're not afraid to hide it. The head chef at Kannah provides the most creative and amazing meals ever offered from an establishment like this. This menu is certain to shift your understanding of brewpub food. I've had many guests, clients and colleagues visit me in Grand Junction every one of them requests Kannah on their return visit.

Brought some out of town friends here and we left pretty happy. Appetizers were great....a lot of places just have your average 'bar fare' trite appetizers, but there were a few creative things here and we recommend the buffalo rolls for sure! My sandwich was mediocre (philly beef) and my friend got the 'stacked high' pastrami...which is the only reason I don't give it 5stars-the thing was only stacked high because they put French fries in it as filler! She also said the cider cabbage mixture on it was tasteless. I was not a fan of the tempura-style fries, but that's my opinion only. However, my husband's calzone was awesome, and my other friend had the beer flight which was a super incredible deal for ten bucks; I think the table could have shared it and been happy...it was like 10 or 12 different drafts in 4-oz glasses! He also tried a pizza, which I think is what this place specializes in....I would go back for the pizza and beer alone! Can't wait to try their second location, Edgewater Brewery, which is supposed to have a completely different menu. Service was good, kid-friendly.

The food and beer are fantastic here. This is my favorite brewery in Grand Junction.

Great atmosphere, kind servers, yummy food and beer...Hip, Hip Hooray! Some of my Kannah Creek favorites: potato skins, jack cheese sticks, fried pickles, the house salad, minestrone soup, french dip sandwich...not to mention excellent pizza and calzones- all made to order. Do not forget to save room for dessert!!! ...Their tiramisu is tremendous!!

Beer: Not a big fan of their beers, but their porter is delicious, especially with a shot of espresso vodka, yum. As far as a lighter beer goes... When they mix two of their beers to get a 'Dirty Blonde' is about as good as you can get there... Food: Spinach Artichoke dip was good, but other than that I wasn't very impressed with anything else I ordered. Kind of 'blah' food. Inside: Yikes! The place is horribly set up, tiny, not very good for groups as it is hard to put any tables together. Bar has a couple of tables, but only a few bar stools... Not impressive. Outside: Great patio, pretty much the only reason to go here. Even still, it's not as good as the Ale House, which is just up the st. Plus: they do have Growlers that you can refill to take home. Overall: Nope... I'd rather not.

We passed through here for a night and we ate here after receiving a recommendation from a local. We showed up and it was packed, about a 30-45 minute wait. We grabbed a beer from the bar and seats opened up so we were able to sit pretty quick after all. We sat next to a friendly local who had a lot of info to offer us on the area, the menu, the beer, etc... The beer was really good. Having worked at a microbrewery all through college, the beer was on par with my beer snobby-ness. We ended up getting a sample tray and tasting them all. We disliked very few (maybe just 1 between us both.). The food was okay. We both ordered a personal pizza. I had the kannah pizza which was tasty. It could have used a tad more sauce, but overall a decent pizza. My husband ordered the low flyer and it left us underwhelmed. We agreed mine was the better of the two. The bartender, Lauren, was efficient, friendly, and did a great job. We chatted with some other locals dining as well while there, making this an extremely friendly atmosphere. You don't find that often in Phoenix. If ever passing through again, we would come back.

Some of the beers are good. The pizza was terrible.

I'm in GJ for 6 weeks for work and have been checking out restaurants solo. Kannah had a large outdoor patio with plenty of shade so I sat out there on a Saturday night, ready for an enjoyable wood fired pizza and beer. I am a beer amateur so I really only like light wheat beers. Well, of course that's what they were out of. How does a brewery run out of the most popular beer on their menu? Strike one. While enjoying a quiet evening, a bus full of bachelorette party sorority girls took over the patio. Totally loud, obnoxious and rude and it was only 8pm mind you. The girls were bothering the other customers (running around yelling things to other customers on the patio, based on dares). The staff did nothing to quiet them or ask them to quit. Strike two. Anyone who wants to smoke out there, can and does. Strike three. The pizza was fantastic!!! I had "da roni" which is a simple thin crust pepperoni pizza. Had tons of cheese and pepperoni, so that part was awesome. In celebration of the Peach Festival, I ordered their special desert: peach cobbler. The "cobbler" consisted of baked peaches, granola and a scoop of ice cream. Totally not a $6 cobbler. Strike four. I spent $20 dollars there and really only enjoyed a few slices of pizza, so I definitely won't be going back.

Kannah Brewing in Grand Junction, my favorite town in West Colorado. The food was good, the beer was better. Very quick service, a sampler and a knowledgeable waitress. Its hard to get better.

  • Heath B.

Have to agree with Randy L., I drove in from Colorado Springs along Hwy 24/9 and it was nice to hit this place immediately upon getting into town. the default sampler is 8 beers! Gives you the full experience and range of offerings. Impressive whiskey list as well, Baker's + Bookers + Stranahan's. I tried a pizza to go with it (Whitewater). Very spicy which I like, but not a big fan of bleu cheese. Still tasted a lot even though I asked them to go light. But a great experience overall.

While I didn't try the food, the beer I had was tasty. You can buy sixers there of certain brews if you like or in the local LQs. The Amber is smooth and the Pale Ale pretty good. Plenty of seating indoors and out and the wait staff were friendly and attentive. There are not 23894934 tvs showing golf/baseball/etc. That is a plus, IMO.

    (4)
  • C V.

Excellent beer- recommend the pale ale over the IPA for you hopheads. Amber was good too -the Poseidon pizza -minus the feta -was awesome!! Tiffany is a perfect and friendly bartender/server!

    (5)
  • Dennis W.

Well the beer was good. I had the Black Bridge Stout. I had the Pastrami with swiss cheese. The flavor was fairly good. But, I've never had a sandwich so small. SMALL, incredibly small Did I say small. That's the way we make it, I was told. OK Unfortunately, given my experience, I will not be back.

  • Tori D.

Great food, excellent service. A little loud for my taste.

    (4)
  • Lacee G.

Not impressed. I was excited to try this place out, but simply the service was very slow and the food was not worth the wait. Our server took her time getting a fork for my friend and got all sassy to the other server when she saw that my friend had to get up to get her own fork. I understand the place was busy, but we did not get any apologies or compensation for our obvious inconvenience. It took forever for anyone to take our payment, so we had to get up and deliver our cards to our absent server. Maybe I just caught this place on a bad night.

  • Michael R.

I like their pizza varieties, creative and pretty solid. Their microbrews are pretty good (about the same as the Rockslides I think) .. Service can be very spotty.

    (3)
  • Kevin H.

Very enjoyable laid back place (as any brewery should be).. exceptional Root Beer for the kids..

  • Ron L.

5 stars for a brewery type restaurant. Blonde and Pale Ale were great, but the food was the big surprise. 12th street pizza and Albuquerque Turkey sandwich were both great. So was the caesar salad. Service was outstanding, too.

My wife and I stopped in for dinner tonight. She had been to Kannah Creek about a year ago without me, and absolutely loved the place, so I was eager to try. We arrived at about 4pm on a Friday night, and while the parking lot was somewhat crowded, we were seated immediately. Only the bar area was actually filled with people and there were several tables available in the restaurant. First, let me say that the waitress, Amber, was the best. She came by repeatedly and was very knowledgeable about the ales and food; what she didn't know, she was quick to find out. We ordered an appetizer of Salmon Quesadilla that we shared, and it was delicious, literally melting in our mouths and full of great taste and flavor. The first ales we ordered were a Hefeweizen (hers) and a cask-conditioned IPA (mine). We enjoyed both, but the IPA was a clear-cut winner; my wife had one for her second ale after tasting mine. For our main course, we had a specialty pizza called a "Thai-Pie" and it was quite good. The crust was thin, and delicious; the toppings were veggies and a peanut sauce. We were in an adventuresome mood, so most will probably want to stick with slightly more traditional pizzas; however, our pie was excellent. Believe it or not, we actually had room for desert, so my wife ordered a strawberry short cake special, and I opted for a root beer float (root beer is made on the premises and is the best I've ever had). Both deserts were outstanding, the short cake was the best we've ever tasted and the ice cream float was equally delicious. We have both pub-crawled extensively in Colorado, Washington and Oregon, and Kannah Creek ranks in the top 5 from our experience. With reasonable prices, great food, and excellent service, we are looking forward to our next visit.

Since I drug my honey to wine tasting in Palisade, we went to a brew pub for dinner. This one was a great choice! He had the sampler and loved all the beer except for the IPA, he always hates those! and the Jimmy's Pizza, he and my daughter polished that off. I had the Roasted Chicken w/ Pesto Panini which was also excellent. My daughter hadn't like the look of the place and was pleasantly surprised. She will most likely return with a gang of theater kids soon.

  • J. S.

I'm not sure if because I tried Ale House first, that I had higher standards for this place, or what, because it's ambiance alone made me a lil disappointed when we first walked in. It's very loud, tables are very close to each other, food is just ok. The service, however, was the stellar point in this restaurant. We had an awesome waiter who was very accommodating. Food was decent, but nothing to write home about. I think we ended up throwing away the leftovers, wondering why we took them home in the first place since they were just so-so. We ordered a pizza and a calzone. If you like breweries, I'd say Ale House is higher-class, with higher quality selection ,and therefore wins my favor.

AMAZING food & AMAZING beer!! They always have a different soup and a special course starting with an appetizer and ending with desert! even their side salads are good!! has an awesome home made feeling/taste! I love the blonde beer!! They also have "growlers" that you can take filled with beer and you will keep coming back!

  • Brandon M.

I enjoy this place, my favorite pizza is the foghorn leghorn, good BBQ pizza

Service from Shannon was awesome! She is always so attentive. Food is great! Lots of great original beer to choose from!

    (5)
  • Rachel S.

Really great beer! Food was yummy but the portions were huge. I did not see any light options on the menu making it a little less than dieter friendly. But if your not counting calories definitely a great place to check out!

    (4)
  • Cindy L.

Had the Mexican salad though can't remember the exact name it was called. It was really tasty! Ruffino Chianti was quite nice and smooth too. I had the pizza here also. The pizza is pretty good. Better than many places but I've had better.

    (4)
  • Jackie H.

Love it! The beer is so, so good. I love the porter. And the food ain't bad either. It's nothing inspired, but it's good for pub food and the friendly atmosphere and attentive service are wonderful. Great for the value.

  • Megan S.

Went this evening based on reviews from another site and were pleased with the result. Seated and served immediately. The beer was good, the pizza excellent. Husband got the Poseidon's Pie for his pizza and liked it, while I got the Whitewater and LOVED it. Definitely worth checking out for a casual but enjoyable meal!

  • alicia h.

Im still craving the salmon quesadilla... the beer is really good and they also have some nice wine selections.. I didnt feel like there were a ton of eating out options in GJ, but out of the handfull of places to go have a drink, this one topped the list!

    The BEST artichoke dip ever!!!!!

  • Denise R.

I can't say enough good things about The Creek. My husband and I were visiting briefly in Grand Junction and went to Kannah Creek twice. Both times the food was outstanding. As a beer snob who tried every beer they have, I can say that they really know what they're doing. I encourage all beer lovers and foodies to try this place. Ask to sit in Katlin's section. She's the best server and knows her stuff about beer.

    (5)
  • Rita B.

So, this is a place where I say that the pizza crust was perfect, but the toppings, not so much. We had their signature Kannah pizza and the roma tomatoes and the artichoke hearts seemed to be added after cooking (or at least towards the end) making the pie a very wet mess. I will definitely give them another try- but no fresh tomatoes and will ask for the pie to be well done. These folks have a way with dough. We had the hummus and pita appetizer (because I knew I was too hungry to wait for pizza without a nosh first). The hummus as wonderfully seasoned. I usually don't buy hummus given how easy it is to make. But I was happy I did this. Not only was the hummus great - the pita it was served with was clearly house made, hot and fresh and chewy and a total delight. And - nice as well, we got a good serving of dipping veggies! So - I will be back for a beer and anything pita. And will give the pizza another try - they have a good base, I just will have to be more careful about the toppings I choose.

  • Robin S.

Great service - my server was friendly, prompt and knew his stuff. Nice space but LOUD. Bar was full at 5:15, as were a fair few of the tables. Side salad billed as 'half' salad. Bigger than that. Mostly romaine but still nice rabbit food; blue cheese dressing a little weak. The Jimmy pizza - very well executed. Crust was particularly good. IPA - excellent Amber ale - almost as good.

  • Lynie H.

Great local brewery..didn't try much of the beers but the food was really good!! The pizza was thin n tasty...we tried the Thai Pie pizza. Fresh grated Aisiago cheese was grated for us. The spinach artichoke dip was delicious even though the serving size was small. The dip was smaller than the bread/veggies to dip it in.same for the spicy garlic hummus...but they were both good n tasted homemade...the pita bread also was very light n tasted homemade. The staff was very nice, seating was available indoors and outdoors, n ample parking.

    Great food and beer.

  • Yanhua P.

We came here for lunch on our road trip, sat outside on the patio. The beer selections were great, and the pizza was very fresh and the thin crust was good. The restaurant was on a busy intersection so the outside seatings could get a bit noisy. We were pretty impressed with the beer.

    (4)
  • Jeff N.

I ad to wash the taste of The Feedlot out of my mouth so I went here. EXCELLENT all the way around. Spicy hummus is fantastic. Fresh homemade bread daily. Beer was GREAT, and so was the service. Will definitely return.

  • Phillip M.

Went there while passing through town on a road trip. The place has a great selection of beers that were brewed in house. The Amber and IPA were awesome! Pizza was solid as well. I would a regular if I lived in town!

    (4)
  • Lisa P.

For a brewery his has very solid food. Food is a little big and overwhelming yet the quality holds up. Beer is solidly done

  • Adam W.

Stopped in for a quick dinner on a busy Friday night. The parking lot was jammed, so I figured it must be good. I was promptly greeted, seated and beered with a fine and refreshing pale ale. My minestrone soup was tasty but served only luke-warm. The Caesar salad was crisp and cold, with a nice garlicky dressing, but no anchovy (it's not a real Caesar without the anchovy). Service was quick, efficient and very friendly.

  • M L.

This was a new brewery stop the last time we visited Grand Junction. The ambiance is the biggest negative in my opinion. The beer was good, food decent and service just fine. A good stop if you're in the mood for a craft beer without being too commercialized.

    (3)
  • Steven L.

Pizza and salad were decent and the bill was easy on the wallet. I'd go again without hesitation, but it's not a favorite.

    (3)
  • Bryan T.

Decent food for a fair price. Be prepared for your own personal pizza because thats all they can make pizza wise. No gluten free crust option. Try the buffalo legs. Basically chicken wings but drumsticks instead. Cooked to perfection. The beer is solid! Service good. Clean restaurant and bathrooms. Would rate

    (3)
  • Jeremy T.

Great food, great beer and very friendly staff! Their Amber Ale is my favorite and I love how they change their specials frequently. Spinach Artichoke Dip is the best app and the BBQ Pit Pizza is a slam dunk.

    (4)
  • Clare P.

Stopped here on our way to Utah, the beer is great, the food is very generously sized portions and the service was rad. The pesto chicken sandwich was delicious! Great times for good vibes!

    (4)
  • Donna G.

This is a nice brewery. Our server Amber was very knowledgable about the beers. Service was very good. She made lots of suggestions to us which made our decision much easier. She also made a great recommendation that we share a pizza and salad since we were staying in a hotel. It was the perfect portion for 2 people. We had the chicken avocado pizza. It was wonderful with a Caesar salad. I would go back for sure.

I would totally recommend this establishment. They serve a variety of food items so everyone can enjoy. From fish to lasagna. Service is excellent, high energy place, happy people, outside patio for dinning or enjoying their brews! Enjoyed by all ages delicious food!

Excellent pizza, excellent beer. Great atmosphere, good service. We found the place on Yelp while passing through and we're not disappointed.

This is my family of 4's pizza night out stop. Great brews, great pizza. Fast and friendly. They also give dough balls to our kids to play with while we wait. Only a 4 min drive off of I 70 if you need a good pit stop. Only wish it had more seating on busy college nights, but we're certainly glad it's here on 12th.

$3 Stout during Happy Hour?!?!? I'm a fan!! New to the area and was craving pizza so I stopped by and I'll definitely be back! Bartender was super friendly too!

The location next to the Grand Junction Botanical gardens is a great spot to finish a bike ride. The burgers, onion rings and ales were the perfect way to "recover" from a ride. Sit outside on the deck if the weather is nice, you get some really great views of the Mesa and the Colorado National Monument.

Quite impressed w the improve tsh in the menu! Lunch was awesome. Beers were great and service outstanding: friendly, knew his beers and great recs on food.

  • Tim D.

Very fine fare and atmosphere. Had lightly fried artichoke hearts as an appetizer. Delicate. Duck main course was superb, another had Lamb Tenderloin which was perfectly prepared, succulent. Fine wine selection and great service!

    (4)
  • Jay P.

Food is awful. Greasy fried stuff and tiny overpriced terrible pizza. The place itself is nice inside, warm and comfortable, your typical brew pub kind of place. Service was nice and friendly, helpful and attentive. But the food was just terrible. Would never eat there again. The beers were okay. On the average side of things, definitely nothing special. Mind you we only tried 4 different beers but none of them made me say wow. Nothing special about this place at all.

    (2)
  • K K.

Piled high pastrami? Are you kidding me? It's got to be hard to pile less than 2.0 oz of meat "high"! And the French dip? Arby's on a plate. Nope. Won't be back.

  • Jason J.

A great little spot! Really wonderful patio for when the weather is nice. The Lady and I strolled in for lunch after arriving in Palisade and hitting up a few wineries. We needed sustenance, and after visiting wineries, a brewery was exactly what we needed. We headed out to the patio to enjoy a sunshine, and looked over the menu. It's got some good options, and after choosing a turkey on croissant style sandwich, I was left feeling that the fries were the best part of the meal (though they were fantastic!) The sandwich wasn't bad, just...middle of the road. Though that croissant bun was also top notch...I think perhaps the next time I'm there I'll head for the pizza, as there seemed to be a bunch of pizza-ing happening on the patio, and it looked good but didn't fit my mood at the time. Beer-wise I chose the Lands End Amber, but... I hate to say it, but either I was brought the wrong beer or it was off-style. It was way hoppier than an Amber should be, and the color seemed too light as well. The bouquet had almost no malt, and the backbone of the beer was just a crisp line of hops. It wasn't a bad beer, but since it was so far off of what I've ever had in an Amber, I was slightly disappointed. All in all, it was just fine. But, like most places I feel are "just fine" I'll absolutely go back. Next time I'm in Grand Junction I won't hesitate to stop again.

We were just passing through town and decided to check out Kannah Creek. They had some very decent beers and excellent pizza. Definitely swing by if you in the area. Very friendly staff, too!

Passing through and stopped here today just before it got busy for lunch. Server was as good as he could be considering he was the only one taking care of the patio. Definitely recommend the Anaheim Peppers on special right now. We also ordered the apple, bacon, bleu salad which was pretty good, as well as the club. Definitely liked the beer. Even bought a pint glass for the road. Nice spot!

What has happened to this place. Menu is new and lots of great stuff is now gone. Prices have gone up yet service has gone down. I have been coming here for years and I am so disappointed in the direction this place has gone. Time before last I ordered a philly and it was disgusting, I thought maybe just a fluke as usually the food is great. Then this time not only did the food once again suck but the waiters treat you like your least important thing to them. I won't be returning. What a waste of a great restaurant.

Their lasagne carnivora has taken a dive in recent times because of sauce viscosity insufficiency.

  • Junie J.

I'm not sure what the biggie dealio is with this place. The wait-staff was nice enough, but not very timely. The food was ok, but not good enough to come back. The 'ambiance' was a little loud for my old ears.

Came here for a late night meal with 3 friends while on my CO vacation. The lady who served our table may have been the best service I have had AND she was pregnant. She put up with our jokes (BACON!), complicated order (I'm a vegetarian at a pub . . . ) and numerous questions. We also stayed until closing with no complaint or trying to push us out. Several items we ordered they were out of (minus 1 star) but she dealt with it perfectly and we were pleased with our replacement menu options. The jalapeno corn nibblets things were to die for. The pizza was pretty good. The best part? Not only do they brew their own beer and sodas but you can take some home in a growler!! We took home a growler of ginger beer to make moscow mules and they were the best I've had at home! Wish I could find this stuff in CA, I'm addicted!! This place also does wine on tap which the server was very knowledgeable about.

  • Shayne B.

Great beer and super friendly, knowledgable staff. Had great conversations with our server about beer, and we saw other servers studying to be Cicerone Beer Servers! They have a better vegetarian selection than other Grand Junction restaurants, but it'd still be great to see more. Great service, and I'll definitely go again!

  • Dave S.

Decent little brewery. We grabbed dinner and sampled a flight of all 8 of their beers. All the beers were pretty good, the Stout was my favorite but all were good. Pizza seems to be their specialty here. We ordered sandwiches which were good but the pizza we saw coming out of the kitchen looked very good. I would go back next time i'm in town.

Great beer selection, which managed to keep a group of 6 adults happy. The menu had an amazing amount of selections that all sounded tasty, to the point that I would have had several more days to try the things I did not choose for dinner. Great service. And the food was just as damn tasty as the menu made them sound. Pro Tip: get the Pierogi Pasta special.

We stopped by after 3 days of hiking in the backcountry and all I wanted was a burger....which they didn't have. What kind of brewery doesn't have a burger?! They redeemed themselves with the cheesy bacon fries. Holy...wow! They are seasoned fries topped with cheddar cheese and legitimate bacon. So freaking amazing!

  • Galen D.

Good beer, though their compliment is limited to about 8 of their own varieties plus a couple others, and only 4 of them where available in bottles for taking home. Lawn games, great ambience and a friendly staff are a plus. I'll stop here in the future and be recommending that others do the same.

We were in the area recently to mountain bike and drink wine. We stopped into Kannah Creek for lunch one day. Husband ordered the IPA for $4. For food he got a Frontier Man with a Caesar Salad. I got the roasted chicken salad. Entrees were $14 and $10. Overall all the food was good. It was fresh. My husband ate so fast I assume there was nothing wrong with the pizza. Our server was LBoogie and she was friendly. Food was delivered fast. We would recommend this place to our friends who come to the area. When we come back, I assume we will stop again. Great quick lunch spot.

I've never been disappointed at Kannah Creek. I always get the specialty pizzas, sandwiches and have tried various apps. They're always perfectly delicious and pair well with their tasty beers. I always like trying their seasonals. Kannah has their food and beers down! The servers have always been great as well.

We came here probably close to their closing time after a long night of work. I had an extremely interesting beer here- apricot bourbon cask beer. it was amazing, much more bourbon flavor than apricot. We had buffalo legs here too... yes. legs. Not wings. 5 giant drumsticks. so wonderful. I plan to come by here again sometime! woudl like to try that patio out, but the storm was coming back in and the wind was going nuts.

You guys have great food, great drinks and an outstanding patio. Service is spot on. I have had calzones, pizza and sandwiches - all very tasty. Of course we start with the buffalo bites - YUM! The beer is great. I have been getting the seasonal Irish - it's great and I'm not a big beer drinker. I've sat both inside and outside and of course outside in the summer is perfect. The patio has a nice covering that let's in light but keeps out the direct sun making a perfect afternoon. I've been here 3 times in the last month and recommend it to everyone!

Amazing food. Top notch beer. Awesome service. Looking for high quality food at reasonable price. Found! Great for kids and would be a nice date night too. Outside looks like maybe it used to be a Pizza Hut. Inside is a very nice job of a redo. Clean. Trendy Brewery meets wood rustic restaurant. Pizza dough for kids to play with was such a unique and fun idea for our kids. Server was so polite to our kids. Speaking to them like they were so important and making sure they didn't need anything. What a cool thing to do! Buffalo pizza roll apps were awesome fluffy crispy and so addictive. Must attempt Pizzas great. Fresh ingredients and awesome dough. (Only way to make a good pizza). We'll be back next time we're through Grand Junction.

I've tried a few of their beers and enjoyed each. The pizza is nice. The staff is friendly and efficient. No complaints; enjoyed it very much.

After a good day of mountain biking we were all craving good food and beer. I was very impressed with the menu. A lot of options! I chose the Garden Pizza and was very happy with it. A lot of pizza for 8,50 - super good deal. I did not have any of the beer but my friends enjoyed it. The waitress was super nice and I always had a full glass of water. Highly recommend coming here.

Love love LOVE this place. Everything from the beer to the service is always excellent and consistent. My boyfriend and I try to make it in here once a week. Try the Godfather calzone (it's HUGE), and the specials never disappoint. Love the relaxed, fun atmosphere. The bar is always packed with friendly locals.

  • Sarah L.

The pizza was really good. We had the whitewater and subbed bacon for ham. The beer all had a bitter aftertaste. I really wanted to like the beer but something was off. Had a flight tried them all. Didn't want a pint of anything afterwards.

Stopped in here for lunch while visiting from out of state. The service was good, great beers on tap (cider, too), and yummy Italian food. We had the fried pickle spears for an appetizer, and shared a pizza. Perfect for the two of us. Enjoyed everything, but I found the ham on the pizza pretty spicy. We would stop in again!

I had been on the road all day (12 hours) with the family driving across the country. I was glad my wife picked a brewery for dinner, as I was ready for a good beer. The beer was excellent (I had the Pale Ale and a seasonal offering), and the pizza was delicious. We sat outside, and save for the one fly that pestered us on off, it was a beautiful evening. My kids enjoyed the play-dough and coloring pages. Our hostess and server were both very friendly. The other servers I observed on the patio were equally friendly and attentive. We got a few pizzas to share (a Kannah, a Poseidon and a custom pie), and they were all delicious. The kids loved it, my wife and I loved it. We had some leftovers that we ate on the road for lunch the following day, and it was still delicious (though the thinner wood-fired crust loses its crispness when cooled down). I don't foresee traveling through Grand Junction often, but I will keep Kannah Creek Brewing on my list for my next visit!

Was in town for a convention and did my usual yelp search. Was not disappointed! Had a flight of excellent beer, liked the single hop so much i cane away with a growler. Food was excellent as well as the service. Had the Thai Pie(couldn't resist the name). And was pleasantly surprised. Thank you!

I've always wanted to like this place since it's locally owned but they never really excite me. Their pizza is decent, their sandwiches and pasta dishes are alright but again nothing I think about once I've left. Service is slow, prices are high-ish and employes are unmotivated to help out. Today are server was so slow to take our order we almost left, then when the food came out, it was barely warmer than room temp. We'll take our business elsewhere even if it means a non-local joint.

    (2)
  • Doug Y.

Rack a flight. Belly up. Pick some beer fodder. Begin. The flight starts well but gets a little bumpy towards the end. The Standing Wave Pale and Land's End Amber suited my palate the best with enough flavor and IBU's whereas my usual flavor suspects the IPA and Stout were a little lacking. The Kannah pizza was tasty with a nice thin, brick oven crust, chunks of portabella and artichoke heart but the mussels app we also ordered were dry and hard and the accompanying pressed rectangles of bread looked a lot like those neapolitan sugar wafer cookies (thankfully they tasted better than that) so, skip the mussels here. Feels like a college town hang out joint (which it is) which is good or bad depending on what you like (and what you are).

    (4)
  • Chris R.

The food here is pretty good, the fried pickles are great. But the service is awful. Waiter (Jessie), blonde guy is terrible with customers and there is only one waiter for the entire joint, and the owner seems to care less about the poor service. So if you want good food, they have it. But the cost is the price of the meal plus being treated like garbage. Enjoy :)

  • Randy E.

I cannot speak to the quality of the brew..the pizza is the best in town. Try the posiedon pie or the bbq pit. Wonderful chewy yet crispy crust...cook high and fast..cant beat it. Very hometown...younger crowd

  • Robert S.

I had the Albuquerque turkey. The sandwich itself was good but the chile left a lot to be desired. No heat whatsoever. The red chile soup was hot and very good. Service was slow but friendly so not too big of a deal. Large list of tap beers and wine.

Kannah Creek is great place to grab a beer and relax. The food is average, but then again this is a brewery.

It hit the spot after a long day of driving. The 5 stars are for the service. The waitresses wore running shoes and they just keep moving, from your fist beer to the check. They don't rush you, but you could get in and out quickly. The beer: IPA- not nearly as hoppy as advertised. I don't recommend this one for anyone. Hefeweizen- a typical beer for this style. Very refreshing with some citrus. Pale ale- award winning. Tastes great and will start here next time. Unlike other yelp reviews, we liked the food better than the beer. Wilted spinach salad with chicken. This is one that I will try to recreate at home. Fresh spinach and perfect flavor profile. House salad- fresh, even at 8pm. The chicken legs came out cold. They were promptly replaced with some piping hot fresh ones. Moist on the inside and the BBQ sauce was nice and tangy.

I have eaten here several times before and I've had great service. Apparently Tuesday at lunchtime is too much for the staff to handle. None of the staff was motivated to help customers and it took seemingly forever to get our food after ordering. I didn't time exactly but it was about thirty minutes. Maybe an off day, but I don't plan on coming back again. The food was not hot but still tasted fair

    (2)
  • Phillip W.

We had salad and soup, so we can't say a lot about the food. But it was okay ... even if the soup wasn't especially hot. It looks like we both tried their Amber brew, so I assume they had no IPAs on tap. Our server seemed more interested in some dude she was chatting up. But we got our food and beer, and I'm a supporter of young love. So that's okay. On the upside, it seems like mainly locals, but they don't stare at you like a two-headed zombie if you're not.

  • Cheryl H.

The pizza is delicious - fresh ingredients, thin crust, good balance of sauce and cheese - but the lasagna is the best I have ever had. Also had the Caesar salad which has pieces of real anchovy in the dressing. And their amber beer is terrific - smooth and not too heavy. With friendly, efficient servers, this has become one of our favorite casual places in Grand Junction.

  • Nelli T.

I had a great experience here! I had the 10 beer sampler and was very impressed overall with the beer. My waitress was awesome and took time to explain the beers and how they're made. They had four seasonals on tap which is nice because they're always rotating. I really enjoyed the Zeus single hop pale ale seasonal, the stout (on nitro) and the pale ale. The other beers were also excellent. I had the "Thai pie" for lunch and really enjoyed it- it was big enough for a large meal but good for leftovers later if you're eating lunch.

  • Nicole W.

Nice patio, all variety of people, friendly staff As others have mentioned, service is not quick, but they do the best they can. Food was pretty good: We split the salmon quesadilla - woah that was great! We also split the tuna salad - salad - it was simply a lump of tuna in an amazing spinach salad - but the dressing - WOW - as advertised by our waitress - simply fabulous! We got the local hefe - and it was pretty tasty! Definitely a nice meal, just don't be in a hurry!

  • Jess W.

By far, the best beer in town! My favorite is the award winning amber, but am usually able to be talked into trying their seasonal specials too. Kannah has great service and really caters to everyone; it's good place for families, kids love to play with pizza dough or a perfect place to just grab drinks with buddies. They have a nice patio shaded in the summer and fire pit during the winter. Their food is pretty consistently good, not mind blowing, but the atmosphere and beer make up for whatever it lacks. Certainly a local favorite and a place I like to bring out-of-town guests to check out. Side note** they always have the cleanest bathrooms I've seen at a restaurant. Weird, I know but I think it says a lot about a place.

  • Alli S.

The hostess and servers were all friendly and helpful. A thumbs up from the group who sampled the salad, pizza, calzone, and dessert. The fried apple pie is more like an empanada big enough to share, FYI. It was loud in the front bar area but quieter in the back where there were kids and families. Good food and nice selection for a brew pub.

  • Shea S.

Beer and pizza have been a winning combination since...well...time started. And it's no different here. Satisfying beer, tasty pizza, and friendly service is what you'll find at Kannah. I started with the beer sampler, which I always do when I visit a new brewpub. It's a perfect way to get a feel for what they do. All were solid, but especially liked the hef, stout, and IPA. Would like to visit again when another seasonal is on tap, as I'm not a fan of chili beers, although theirs was probably the best I've had. Once you get that hefty flight of samplers in front of you, you soon realize that food is a good idea. I settled on the Kannah, and holy wow Batman was it good. I love unique meats like ham and salami on pizza, and the spicy capicolla ham was nice and crispy - the star of the show. But the artichoke hearts, portabella mushrooms and roma tomatoes with fresh basil completed the picture perfectly. One of the better pizzas I've had. Go thirsty, and quickly become hungry. Was there on a Saturday night and it was rather slow, so go help these guys out! They deserve it, as the service was great and friendly too. "Hooray beer!" + pizza.

Their beer is fantastic. Good selection of food, the southwestern salad is fantastic. Their calzones are great as well. Nice college town feel to the place and the staff is very friendly. High recommendation to eat here when you are in town.

  • Sean S.

Really friendly place was my go to eatery with friends when I lived in Junction. My opinion is that the beer is really exceptional on par with some of the micros in Denver, Boulder and Ft. Collins. I'm not that big a fan of the food, it's not terrible, but after eating my way through the menu it needs help. Overall though one of the best places in Junction.

    (3)
  • Kevin S.

I'm still a fan, but I stopped by on a unseasonably cold day last week and the patio was closed. I don't really like the indoor part of the place, just the patio. They're moving to a location on the river soon, so maybe they'll make the interior more inviting and provide adequate parking. Riverside dining, just like in real cities and towns. Someone in Grand Junction has finally realized that you can put something besides rendering plants and trailer parks on the river. What a concept!

Ate there for lunch after a long mountain biking ride and it was great. The beer was excellent and the turkey sandwich on a croissant was outstanding. I would definitely recommend!

Beer selection is varied, and it's made right onsite. Lots of creative and unique combinations. Pizza is average. Service is inconsistent. Menu is all over the place. Nice outdoor patio to sit and eat & drink.

Great food service even better. Calzone was the bomb, blue cheese dressing was real blue cheese!

  • Crystal C.

4 stars for the lack of service at the beginning. Service was slow, we got sat right as the shift changed (@7??) I got the Pegasus Porter & was pleased with the smooth clean crisp dark taste. House salad was tasty with the chipotle ranch. The vege calzone was huge! And packed full of fresh veggies and goat cheese. Very tasty. So big I couldn't finish it and I have a tasty treat for later on the road. Btw, they made up for the slow service by providing great service. All in all beer was great, atmosphere is friendly & the food yummy. Lone Star approval from these two Texans.

  • Danielle B.

Great pizza and good beer/drinks. The pizzas I recommend are the Thai Pie or the BBQ Pit. Both are delicious. They have great salads as well; the salads are huge. You can easily split a salad and a pizza between two people and have plenty of food. One of their seasonal drinks was a Jalapeno Margarita which was phenomenal! Great place to eat & drink. Get a table outside if you can, otherwise it can be very crowded and loud inside during busy times. Service has always been good.

  • Alden C.

The food here is good... quite good. Notable mentions have to go to the salads and sandwiches for sure. The beer is fairly solid in quality... one of the better stops on the trip actually as far as breweries go. Try the wheat beer for sure. Unfortunately we were not able to try all of the breweries we wanted to on the trip and had to file it down some. Simply not enough time to hit them all...

    (4)
  • Josh C A.

Having 75 items on the food menu really makes me question their focus on the beer. They've got a solid nitro stout here. Something is off with the rest of the beer though. Nice staff.

I had dinner here tonight and was blown away with the food and brew. super deliciou salads, unique and tasty pizzas (Try "thai pie' pizza with Thai peanut sauce!)and flavorful brews (pigamus pilser!). kids meals were tasty too and they didnt even charge for a refill of sliced hotdog. the beers are brewed on the spot and super tasty. Very affordable. Friendly service (though service could've been faster). this place is a gastronomic feast in a city that's not popular! if you are in this hood, gotta try it! PS - cool t-shirts too!

We came here for lunch on our road trip, sat outside on the patio. The beer selections were great, and the pizza was very fresh and the thin crust was good. The restaurant was on a busy intersection so the outside seatings could get a bit noisy. We were pretty impressed with the beer.

I ad to wash the taste of The Feedlot out of my mouth so I went here. EXCELLENT all the way around. Spicy hummus is fantastic. Fresh homemade bread daily. Beer was GREAT, and so was the service. Will definitely return.

Very fine fare and atmosphere. Had lightly fried artichoke hearts as an appetizer. Delicate. Duck main course was superb, another had Lamb Tenderloin which was perfectly prepared, succulent. Fine wine selection and great service!

Piled high pastrami? Are you kidding me? It's got to be hard to pile less than 2.0 oz of meat "high"! And the French dip? Arby's on a plate. Nope. Won't be back.

This was a new brewery stop the last time we visited Grand Junction. The ambiance is the biggest negative in my opinion. The beer was good, food decent and service just fine. A good stop if you're in the mood for a craft beer without being too commercialized.

Would rate

Great food, great beer and very friendly staff! Their Amber Ale is my favorite and I love how they change their specials frequently. Spinach Artichoke Dip is the best app and the BBQ Pit Pizza is a slam dunk.

Love it! The beer is so, so good. I love the porter. And the food ain't bad either. It's nothing inspired, but it's good for pub food and the friendly atmosphere and attentive service are wonderful. Great for the value.
